Hike along the ridge of the highest prominent landmark south of the Baviaans - Perde Berg. Stand at the top and take in the biggest view you have ever seen. See PE due East, the mountains behind Knysna West, Oyster Bay and the Tsitsikamma mountain range South and the mountains separating the Baviaans from the Great Karoo and Steytlerville including the whole of the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area. Truly on top of the world. The view is special as it excludes all human impact and makes you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere. Walk within beds of crystallised table mountain sandstone and pick up Quarts and feel the power of a magical place. Hear your guide interpret the power of earth and the majestic mountains as Black Eagles sour alongside as you negotiate a moderate walk to and from the summit of the rooftop view of the Kouga. The walk takes an hour at a very leisurely pace and less to come down. You spend about an hour up there to take in the view, which could be described as within Harry’s top ten views in the world.
